Flatness Defect

This app evaluates the flatness of any surface of your geometry selected in Ansys Mechanical. It computes the coefficients of the plane and displays its 3D graphical representation. To compute the plane, the app applies the least square method to the displacement results from the chosen surface. By providing the maximum and minimum distances between surface nodes and the computed plane, this app facilitates a thorough understanding of the computed value for the surface's flatness.
