This extension allows you to obtain the average values of the following result items (it creates a result object for obtaining them).

  • Structural analysis: deformation/rotation/stress/strain
  • Heat transfer analysis: temperature/heat flux

Key Benefits

When calculating the average value of a result for a body or surface, the value calculated by simply averaging the solution values may be inappropriate in some cases.

For example, the average temperature of a body requires an average value that is weighted by the volume of each element. With this extension, you can obtain an average value that takes into account the shared area of such nodes and elements. It calculates the average values of bodies, surfaces and elements in structural analysis (result types: deformation, rotation, stress, strain) and heat transfer analysis (result types: temperature, heat flux), and displays them in the detailed view of the result object.
