App Description

Weld geometry will be manually prepared on CAD
Mechanical ACT will automatically create all the analysis settings needed to perform the welding simulation analysis
Weld is assumed to be deposited at a user defined temperature and cooled down to room temperature
Material Properties defined by user on Engineering Data.

Key Benefits

One of the main common issues while using welding as manufacturing process is to predict the final shape of the assembly due to the final distortion produced by the thermal process itself. Ansys Mechanical provides all the tools needed to solve those types of problems. This App allows Ansys Mechanical users to simulate this types of problems since the analysis setup is automatically created with a simple input from the user.
