What is Simulation?

Computer aided engineering (CAE) is a computer-based tool that enables users to simulate real-world scenarios and systems. The simulation software utilizes mathematical models and algorithms to simulate and analyze the behavior of a system over time. CAS can be used to study the behavior of mechanical systems, electrical systems, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and more.

CAE is used in a variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive, electrical engineering, and architecture. In the aerospace industry, simulations are used to design and test aircraft and spacecraft systems. In the automotive industry, simulations are used to analyze the performance and efficiency of engines, transmissions, and other automotive components.

Enabling more programmatic access to simulations is beneficial to industries because it allows for more efficient and effective simulation. Programmatic access enables users to automate simulations and perform large-scale simulations more quickly and accurately. It also makes it easier for users to integrate simulations with other tools and systems, such as design and manufacturing software.

By enabling new users to take advantage of simulation, CAE can be used for new applications, such as virtual prototyping, predictive maintenance, and product design optimization. This opens up new opportunities for companies to use simulation to improve their products and processes, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
